Fabric team announce new venue details
UPFRONT, news, night online, COMMENTS
Keith Reilly and Cameron Leslie, operators of London club legend Fabric, have confirmed that they will open a new venue in the O2 in September.
The new venue is called matter, and will be a live music venue and nightclub, offering live music and club night.
There are no confirmed acts or nights as yet. But given Fabric's previous ability to attract big names to its books the new venue is almost certainly going to be a clubbing landmark.
Where other 02 venues such as the Indigo2 have an interior entrance accessed via the structure's shopping mall, matter will have its own riverside entrance.
The venue will have a distinct identity to sister club Fabric, said a source for the operators.
"Named matter, this purpose built space will offer a new proposition for both live music and club nights in London, featuring ground breaking technology in all areas and offering live gigs in the most modern setting to the nation’s music lovers.
"Yes, it has been conceived by the team behind longstanding club fabric london, but this venue is all about the live music experience as well, and will offer unprecedented flexibility coupled with unparalleled, cutting edge sound and vision designed to give guests an unforgettable experience whatever the style of the night being presented."
