Classic Glasgow Venue For Sale
UPFRONT, news, night online, COMMENTS
Classic Glasgow dance venue Archaos has been put on the market for over £6m.
The formerly G1-owned venue, which rose to fame in the early nineties thanks to its six-storey superclub status, was leased to 3D Entertainment last year by owner and property developer Prestbury Investment.
However, the venue was not re-opened and is back up for sale.
Close to the redevelopment of Royal Exchange Square, home to venues such as Karbon, Bar 29 and a number of other Lynnet Leisure venues, the venue is being touted as a hot property.
Claire Leven, of estate agent GVA Grimley, told the Glasgow Evening Times: "The sheer size of the building and its proximity to Queen Street and Central Station, not to mention Glasgow's main shopping areas, makes it the ideal site for another nightclub or a developer with plans to turn it into a hotel.
"The surrounding area has been rejuvenated, with the influx of operators including Sainsbury's, Joy, Hob and Sin nightclub."
