Smirnoff BEDA Awards 2007: The Results
UPFRONT, news, night online COMMENTS
The winners of the Smirnoff Beda Awards 2007 were unveiled on Sunday at a spectacular ceremony at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham. Designed to celebrate the highest standards of innovation, entertainment and corporate responsibility in the nightclub industry, the Smirnoff BEDA Awards 2007 were hosted by Patrick Kielty and featured a key address from BEDA Chairman and Nexum Leisure boss Paul Kinsey. In another year of regulation upheavals including the introduction of the smoking ban and the announcement of the new National Alcohol Strategy, Kinsey called for the Government to focus their public health agenda on off trade alcohol sales.
With just under 1,000 members of the UK’s licensed entertainment industry, and associated industries, the night was one of the busiest and most important in the late night entertainment calendar.
