UPFRONT, news, night online, COMMENTS
Leaf Tea Shop and Bar is to re-open within Liverpool's famous Elevator buildings, the artistic home of Merseyside acts The Zutons, The Rascals, Hot Club de Paris and many others. The venue will be a daytime tea room with a punk decor and a DJ lounge and live venue at night.
Leaf is billed as 'a comfy hang-out to catch up with friends or have a meeting in a cosmopolitan venue on level with art cafes found in Berlin, London and New York. Leaf Tea Shop stocks a show-stopping amount of loose tea and offer specialist advice for the serious tea drinker. After dark Leaf Tea Shop will then transform itself into the cities leading alternative live venue showcasing the nations best DJs, bands, films, spoken word, art, knitting groups and anything else that takes their fancy.'
Famed for their Chibuku and Circus after-parties, the venue has relocated from Roscoe Lane in order to be closer to the cultural heart of Liverpool's nightlife. The opening next month will feature performances from a selection of Elevator’s own musicians, DJs and bands with complimentary drinks provided by Red Stripe.
