Bloc wins licence In London bridge Arches
UPFRONT, news, night online, COMMENTS
Rave brand Bloc will launch in a newly licensed system of arches near London Bridge on 20 September 2008. Marketing literature about the launch states it will take place at a 'secret East-London location', adding that the address is 'Arches 6-13, right near Union Car Park, Great Suffolk St, London, SE1 0NR. Just near the White Hart Pub.'
The licence will allow the club to trade until 6am, while the launch will feature sets from Phuture 303, Skream, Radioactiveman, Appleblim and Billy Nasty.
Discussing the venue, Bloc have released a statement saying: "The space has never been used for a party before, and is set in cavernous arches not far from London Bridge. It is a rave space like no other."
Neighbouring archway spaces seOne and The Arches have yet to comment on that last statement.
