Gatecrasher seven will me a £5m 'hyper club', according to new details released by the clubbing brand's website. Work has started on the 'glamorous, state-of-the-art, destination' venue, which will be spread over four club rooms, nine bars and six feature areas. The Upper Broad Street building is due to open in September 2008, and has had an overall design from Big Time Design, who promise a high-profile ‘Miami-esque’ space.
Meanwhile, the interior work has been handed to Cal Fortis, a legendary American Nightclub owner and designer who has built the phenomenal Crobar venues in New York, Miami, Chicago, Buenos Aires and Las Vegas.
The various spaces include:
Departure Lounge and Tunnell: a dramatic, futuristic entrance and bar.
Welcome Bar: a showcase bar featuring an eleven-metre AV wall.
Feature Bar: another grandiose bar featuring towering prints of Gatecrasher artwork.
Powder Bar: An avant-garde boutique bar with a design evocative of a high-street fashion outlet.
The Main Dance Floor and Sin Bins: a state-of-the-art lighting and sound rig, DJ booth and chill out area of staggered red seating.
Vanilla: A chilled bar with boutique ‘kissing booths’, rubber floor and mirror panelling.
Mansion: A stunning back room with a LED video ceiling.
Posh: A VIP area with dance floor gallery.
Bed: A standalone chill out space with an independent DJ line up.
