fabric has added the Vestax PMC-580 4-Channel DJ Mixer with on-board digital effects and PDX-3000 turntables to its stock of premium DJ equipment.

fabric is one of five clubs in the UK chosen to receive a PMC-580 Mixer sponsored by Vestax, organised by exclusive UK distributors Leisuretec Distribution. Technical Manager of fabric Sanjeev Bhardwaj commented: “This is fabric, our reputation is everything and we have to have to have the best equipment available for our artists. Having road tested the Vestax PMC-580, this mixer is superb.”

He continued: “The 580 is a very powerful, high level mixer making it not just suitable for a large club like fabric, but smaller clubs too. The features are excellent, it’s easy to work with and it’s not cramped at the back. The 580 has every feature set you could want on a mixer; analogue and digital mode, MIDI, master out, rec out, and importantly it’s got an XLR and jack output for the DJ booth making it easy to set up with a decent output. They’ve also included bass and treble control for the headphone out.

“The build quality is solid and thankfully Vestax has put an outboard PSU making it more manageable, adding to the feeling that you are dealing with a world class mixer. There’s loads of digital processing on board, I love the design, layout, and Vestax has looked to the future with easy interfacing for DJ’s using software packages like Serato and Ableton. The PMC-580 is a fully loaded digital mixer and the power is totally phenomenal.”

Commenting on the PDX-3000 turntables, also supplied by Leisuretec, Sanjeev continued: “The feature set is brilliant. The build quality is excellent and the pitch holds superbly. In terms of being serviceable almost everything on the Vestax PDX’s can be changed or replaced easily and the new black colour scheme looks great. The PDX’s offer large pitch adjustments and the pitch won’t wave in and out, keeping a lot tighter than other leading market equivalents.”
