Within weeks of announcing dates for evenTech Scotland (February 20th – 21st, Marriott Hotel, Glasgow) – the first in a series of B2B networking forums from Scattered Media – the entertainment and installation technology markets have been quick to deliver an enthusiastic response to the event.
Gordon Addison, MD of Fibre Optic Systems Limited, believes, 'the North of the UK deserves its own independent networking forum and evenTech Scotland 2008 has identified this market opportunity and fills the gap.’
He adds, ‘Fibre Optic Systems Limited recognises the potential that evenTech Scotland 2008 can do for our business in the North and are seriously considering exhibiting in February in Glasgow.' It is clear the essence of the show has found its mark, with companies including Glasgow’s CUK Audio and Sennheiser UK amongst others, quick to sign up as exhibitors.
evenTech Scotland is the leading light in Scattered Media’s mission to create ‘a programme of similar forums for the leisure hospitality industry in other countries’. Ahead of the inaugural Glasgow show evenTech has levered heavyweight support, with no less than three industry magazines (InAVate, Night & Total Production) lending their titles for media partnership.
InAVate’s Dan Jago confirms, ‘the magazine is pleased to support evenTech Scotland 2008 as a media partner and endorses the growing role to be played by regionally-focused networking forums. In conjunction with the management team's track-record in launching industry-specific trade shows, evenTech Scotland will help InAVate meet distributors and manufacturers from the North of the UK and importantly more of the region's installers and integrators.'
Scattered Media’s experience and proven success in event management for this industry sector cannot fail to deliver confidence. Enthusiasm for the format has found expression at all levels, as Andy Lenthall adds, ‘For the PSA, it's about getting people together under one roof. It's about time something happened in Scotland. The PSA fully support evenTech Scotland 2008.’
In response, Darren Brechin commented for Scattered Media, “The support we’ve had for the show is really heartening. Our initial belief in the need for regional forums was so strong and this demonstrates it was well-founded. evenTech Scotland will prove beneficial to the area, the exhibitors and the industry within the region. We hope it will provide the model for a very successful format.”
