An innovative yet familiar solution is now available from Warwickshire firm QBeta Ltd, using the numbered ticket and display systems more commonly found at supermarket delicatessen counters.
These allow customers to take a ticket and return to talk to their friends, knowing exactly where they are in the queue, reducing the stress, and in some cases aggression, associated with waiting at a bar.
Staff benefit as they no longer have to concentrate on remembering whose turn it is, and should not have to deal with frustrated and threatening customers, and the more relaxed atmosphere should help retain both staff and customers.
While the delicatessen systems use two digit indicators, QBeta’s use three digits to cope with the busiest bars. The system is simple to install and easily expandable if extra indicators are required.
Both the indicators and ticket dispensers come in a variety of colours to match the bar’s décor, and tickets themselves are available in five different colours to allow a larger club with multiple bars to install several separate systems.
