Laser Electronics LTD are a manufacturer of Diode Pumped Solid State (DPSS) lasers, supplied and installed by Total Sound and Lighting (TSL) Ltd, and offer the best in laser based entertainment and after sales care. TSL hire and install systems as well as offer advice in training and licencing (HSG95) for laser units.

Says Pat Mulligan of Total Sound and Lighting: “Currently available DPSS systems can suffer from poor reliability, with insufficient thought given to cavity contaminants or external cavity mechanical stress, which results in downgraded output or failure of SHG (Secondary Harmonic Generation) crystals. There is also the possibility of failure of the primary pump diode due to high current drive levels. All the systems that Laser Electronics Ltd produce feature correct thermal maintenance so that the reliability of the systems is enhanced.

“The other problem with some other units involves the direct modulation of the laser output at moderate to high frequencies of 10Khz and above. Laser Electonics Ltd solved all of these problems within a relatively short period of time and developed the only UK manufactured DPSS laser systems that can offer near-diffraction limited output with 10Khz direct modulation and good beam profiles. In short, this allows the laser beam emitted from the output aperture to stay highly focused to produce sharply defined images with high reliability.

“Our units also have an advanced blanking ability and use only two high speed galvometer-type scanners to draw images, meaning that displayed images can have separate features within the graphic projection. Most importantly, this means that the perceived output from the laser appears greater than the actual output power levels.”
