PERONI SPONSORS LONDON FASHION WEEK
liquid assets, drinks news, march 2007, COMMENTS
Peroni Nastro Azzurro has become the first beer to officially partner with London Fashion Week, which took place at the Natural History Museum between 11 and 16 February.
This popular week-long international fashion event attracts buyers, celebrities and press from across the world who come to view top designer Winter collections at VIP catwalk shows and showcases. Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s presence at the event (in the main bar, press and photographers’ lounges and the British Fashion Council buyers’ lounge) was designed to reinforce its brand positioning as “the essence of Italian style.”
Peroni Nastro Azzurro has previously had a presence at fashion weeks on request of individual designers for private parties, something it has continued through the 2007 event. It was served at Christopher Kane, Erdem, Basso & Brooke, Gharani Strok, Ben de Lisi and Kenzo VIP events. In addition, the beer brand continues to support menswear designers Mann and Rushmoor - a label whose SS07 menswear fashion shows were hosted by Peroni in Italy last September following the announcement of its commitment to support menswear designers globally.
Peroni is one of the biggest success stories of the fast-growing global beer category. It has witnessed +13% on trade growth and +24% off trade growth in the last year and is the No.1 top-selling premium bottled lager in UK restaurants, as well as an increasingly preferred choice for many bars and clubs.
