New Bartender Competition from maxxium

Bols, distributed by Maxxium UK, today announced its latest global campaign, “Capture the Spirit of Bols Around the World”. This new competition follows on from the highly successful “Bols Around the World” campaign which saw Russian bartender Roman Milostivy taking the coveted title of Bols Cocktail Master 2008, winning a Bols Bartender Exchange in London, for his winning cocktail, Moscow Sangaree.
 
This year, bartenders around the world will be invited to capture the spirit of Bols by participating in three themed video challenges via YouTube.
 


Introductory video virals will be created for each of the three phases, hosted via dedicated Bols channel on YouTube, setting the bar for the local bartending community to create their own version of the video and upload it onto www.bolsaroundtheworld.com.


 
For each of the three video challenges the best of the entries will be judged by a dedicated Bols judging panel, with the winner receiving a different amazing prize for each challenge.  
 


The first phase of this exciting new competition is called ‘Shake your Flavour’.  The introductory video viral will feature Philip Duff, Global Trainer for the Bols Bartending Academy, celebrating the flavours and versatility of the Bols Liqueurs range and will challenge bartenders to create their own video showcasing their cocktail making skills using Bols Liqueurs.
 


Jacco van Vliet, Commercial Director for Bols, said, “Following the success of Bols Around the World, we wanted to continue with our global theme while also embracing the online social media phenomenon. We did extensive research and found that a growing number of bartenders use YouTube on a regular basis to showcase their skills and search for new ideas.  We look forward to reviewing new, innovative ideas from the global cocktail world through our latest competition.”


 
Earlier this year Russian bartender Roman Milostivy won a Bols Bartender Exchange to the country of his choice after winning the title of Bols Cocktail Master 2008. Roman selected London as the city of his choice this year. The Bols Exchange continues with this new competition, as the prize for the first challenge “Shake your Flavour”, giving the winner a unique chance to swap places and skills in the cocktail capitals of the world in 2009.
