bud silver takes to the airways
liquid assets, drinks news , february 2007, COMMENTS
The first ever above-the-line campaign for Bud Silver, the 4.1 percent lager launched by Anheuser-Busch in June of last year, broke on January 22.
Developed as a European style beer with a fuller premium flavour, and launched exclusively for the UK, Bud Silver is the first standard lager from Anheuser-Busch, brewers of Budweiser. Since launch, Bud Silver has gained distribution in all major UK supermarkets and the on-trade, including the Walkabout chain, where the unique ‘gripper’ bottle has proven popular with male beer drinkers.
The new campaign comprises national radio, outdoor and supermarket sites as well as over 6,500 phone boxes across the UK.
Vicki Kipling, Group Brand Controller Anheuser-Busch Europe said, “We are delighted with the level of national distribution Bud Silver has secured to date; now it’s time to shout about the brand to consumers. We are particularly excited to be the launch advertiser on StreetTalk with the national phone box advertising which gives us huge exposure throughout the UK.”
