Russian Standard Headlines at Q Awards
Liquid assets , drinks news, night online, COMMENTS
Russian Standard has been announced as the official headline sponsor of this year’s Q Awards. One of the UK’s premier music events, the sponsorship will see Russian Standard being heavily promoted in the run up to the awards through a series of high profile concerts. Extensive press, TV, radio and online exposure for the brand will reach an estimated audience of 11 million.
The sponsorship is part of a £8million marketing investment for Russia’s number one premium vodka, distributed in the UK by leading independent drinks distributor, First Drinks Brands. This latest announcement follows a national summer cinema advertising campaign that has helped propel the brand to the position of the UK’s third biggest premium vodka brand within a year of its launch.
“The link up with the Q Awards reinforces our premium positioning and is an ideal and high profile platform to reach our target audience of aspirational 18-34 year olds,” says Andy Corris, senior brand manager for Russian Standard at First Drinks Brands.
“Russian Standard has seen tremendous success in its first year in both the on and off-trades. By focusing on our unique attributes, such as our authentic Russian heritage and intense smooth taste, and by linking up with like-minded partners such as Q, we will further drive sales and communicate our quality credentials.”
As part of the exclusive deal, Russian Standard will be featured at the Q Awards Concerts. Running over four nights in September, gigs headlined by Sugababes, Razorlight, Keane and Bloc Party will take place in London with Russian Standard the sole spirit brand to be sold at the venue’s bars.
This year’s list of nominees includes Coldplay, Oasis, Muse, The Verve, Kaiser Chiefs, Duffy and Adele. A-listers at last year’s awards included Kylie Minogue, Sir Paul McCartney and The Arctic Monkeys.
The Q Awards with Russian Standard Vodka will be held on 6th October 2008 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
