Liquid assets , drinks news, night online, COMMENTS
Russian Standard, distributed in the UK by First Drinks Brands, has announced the latest phase of its 2008 marketing programme. A high profile cinema advertising campaign will be launched on 31st October exposing the brand to audiences of this season's upcoming major film releases, including the new Bond blockbuster, Quantum of Solace. The one month cinema campaign will be followed by a four week run of heavyweight TV advertising.
The 30" executions will be shown in cinemas across the UK and will see Russia's number one premium vodka exposed to almost 6 million of its target audience of aspirational 18-34 year olds.
A national four week TV advertising campaign has also been announced. The 20" execution will run across the UK on channels including ITV, Channel 4 and Five in November and December. Combined, the cinema and TV advertising will expose the brand to 11 million potential drinkers.
Andy Corris, senior brand manager for Russian Standard comments: "2008 has been a fantastic year for Russian Standard as the premium vodka category continues to see strong growth. Following a series of successful marketing activities, consumer demand has significantly increased for the brand. This demand is a great sales opportunity for the trade in the run up to Christmas. By investing heavily in advertising at this key sales period, we are providing further trade support at this important time of year.
"Having been in the UK market for just over a year, Russian Standard is the 5th biggest vodka brand. We remain firmly committed to the brand and have exciting and ambitious plans for 2009, further building on the £8million investment the brand has seen this year."
