Carling offers free websites for pubs

Carling Beerfinder is an online beer and bar guide which pubs can use to create their very own website in 10 simple steps, completely free of charge.
Part of carling.com, the website attracts around 500,000 visitors a month, generating a unique opportunity for pubs to advertise their business, market their events, promote their food offering and attract new customers. Simple to use, there are a series of templates including Gastro, Sports, Traditional, Music and Contemporary, designed to create the perfect look and feel for any pub.
Director of Customer Marketing, Andy Cray said:
“This service will always be free to pubs that join Beerfinder, we’ve made that commitment because our main aim is to support the great British pub and help them to attract more customers, even if they don’t sell our beer. It’s easy to set up, all pubs have to do is register and enter their details and we will do the rest.
Once registered, they will be given a confidential user name and password which will allow them to keep their pub details up to date and promote forthcoming events and special offers through the website”.
Future developments for Carling Beerfinder include the launch of a new dedicated bar staff training module as well as the opportunity to download pub quizzes and register pub football teams, including a chance for every pub to win a new football kit for their pub team.
Stephen O’Malley, Proprietor of The Apsley Cottage in Manchester, has been using Beerfinder since it launched:
“Beerfinder is a fantastic tool, it allows me as a landlord to have and update my own website which I think is great. I can inform customers of opening times, special events, I can upload photographs and I can even put a food menu on there”.
