Liverpool’s restaurant and bar Alma de Cuba has been named one of the finalists in this year’s Northern Hospitality Awards.
The glamorous venue, and a NIGHT magazine favourite, has been shortlisted for ‘Best Bar’ and will represent Liverpool’s bar industry on the evening.
The Northern Hospitality Awards recognise the best venues in the North West, Yorkshire and the North East.
The winners will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony in The Hilton, Manchester on Monday 30 March 2009.
The announcement has come after a series of wins for the stylish venue which was recently named UK’s Best Venue for 2008, Best Restaurant, Best Bar, Bar Person of the Year, Best Restaurant and Bar owner and Metro’s Readers’ award for Best Restaurant.
Rob Preston, group operations director for Alma de Cuba, said: “We have won some fantastic awards recently and would be delighted to add this one to our collection.
“Importantly, the awards we have won have reflected every area of service we provide from the restaurant and bar to the individuals who are responsible for its success.
“We know we are up against some strong competition. But, we have a truly unique and spectacular venue in Alma de Cuba and we have every confidence we will make Liverpool proud on the evening”.
Other bars shortlisted for the esteemed title include; Boutique, Leeds, The Lowry Hotel, Manchester, MOJO, Leeds and Residence Restaurant & Bar, Nantwich.
